This blogging world of ours...

Isn't it amazing how a few cards, some fun techniques, and a blog can bring people together?  Turning pen pals into friends, friends into sisters at heart... I am so happy I started this venture a year ago.  Ooops... seems I missed my own blog-aversary!

I want to tell you all something you may already know... I believe that us crafters are the kindest, most caring ladies around.  Although miles away, it is so uplifting to see how many of us will come together to help one another in anyway possible.  We share laughter everyday as we read each other's funny stories on a daily basis, send cyber hugs and imaginary soup when one is sick.  It's a most unique camaraderie I feel pulls us all close to each other.

There are times in our lives when we all feel down, we all have a tragic experience or a traumatic event.  I have unfortunately experienced a great loss recently.  Many of you may have known that I was expecting.  I lost my baby this past weekend.  It was very hard, depressing and I couldn't see the light.  My husband emailed my DT members... to be more exact my friends.  My friends all came together to help me with my blogs and my business in any which way they could.  That is the most beautiful gift I have thus far received  from friends I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting face to face yet... well some that is.  I have had the pleasure of meeting some of my gal pals, while I hope to meet each and everyone I have come close to from  this fun and wild blogging world.

Lisa braved the mountain and brought me these wonderful flowers!  Aren't they just breath taking?  I talk to them, it's too funny... I have never been a plant person, only because I am afraid of killing them... but I am going to keep these forever!  Eventually scrapbooking them.

My kooky kids tried cheering my up with gifts as well... they know how much mommy loves socks.  They asked my husband to take them to the mall while I rested, which is an hour and a half drive one way, to get these for me...

Gloria mailed me this wonderful card that will also go into my scrapbooks, the sentiment inside was beautiful... "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure."

I wish I could fit all my gals at TBD, SBS and SBC in my scrapbooks as they all rallied up and helped anywhere and everywhere they could.  Just the support, warm wishes and prayers I received from them and everyone else was just uplifting.  I couldn't do it with out all of you girls!  I look forward to an everlasting friendship with you all.  You are all quality ladies and I will always want to be a part of you girls!

Christy Croll of Tiddly Inks, Carol of Stampotique, Lori Boyd, and just so many sent out wonderful supportive emails that helped me feel the love and friendship.  Again ever lasting friendships!

Vicki thank you for being there and ready to talk should I need to, Lady B same goes for you... thank you for the offer of talking things out.  I am so grateful for the offers.

Thank you all so much for all of your support.  I can't say it enough!  It is truly a blessing to know each and everyone of you!  I am once again so grateful that our paths have crossed!

Lots of love and respect to you all,

Betty

Betty, I wish I could make the hurt go away, but I know that I can't. This is a very real and painful time in your life, and I understand your loss. It will get better with time and love, so that is all I offer. I am here if you need me. :)

Dearest Betty,
I am sending you lots of love and light, there really are no words to describe the loss of a child so I won' even try. Just know that we are all linked spiritually as well as through the internet and you are not alone. It also sounds like you have a wonderful family. Keep on keepin on,

I love the way you worded this Betty. I read some of it to my husband tonight cuz he doesn't always understand why I spend so much time on the computer...time with my friends. It actually choked him up a little - good! He sorta saw a bit of why and what I do. It was good for him to see a smidge. Oh and I am loving your socks and glad to see you got some!! Cute! HUGS!

Betty,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I found you on the Practical Magic blog and then I saw where you wrote that a friend braved the mountain to bring you flowers so I had to go check and sure enough, were on the same mountain. I'm at the other end in Crestline. It's good to see you have a strong support system and I hope that each day will be better than the last for you and your family.

Betty, my heart is so heavy for you and your family. I am deeply sorry for your loss. It is never easy to lose a child of ANY age. I had a 2nd trimester miscarriage almost 31 years ago, at the age of 19. I still mourn every Nov. around thanksgiving, not as much as years ago, it gets better with time. but never goes away. I am sending out positive, peaceful healing vibes. Additionally I pray for comfort for you and your family.

Gentle hugs,
Susan

I am sorry to hear what happened to you. I send many many hugs!
It is never easy when you're in pain, but it does lighten that feeling when you have such a great family and huge supporting group of friends. No one can fix this or heal you, but everyone can help lighten your heart a little just by sending you that little light of strength and love. I know I send you some of mine.

Betty,
I am sorry to hear of your loss. After trying to get pregnant for a long time, I lost two pregnancies in 2008. It was very traumatic and a very difficult time for me. I understand the type of pain you are feeling. Know that it you will feel better with time, and it is especially healing when a baby finally makes it into your loving arms. Big hugs to you!

Hi Betty,
I lost a child too and the kindest remark made to me was by my cousin who said that "this child was not meant to be, but it was still special enough that the gods gave it a chance to spend a few months in your body and a lifetime in your heart."
You have been touched by a little angel. Remember that when the times get darkest.
Blessings to you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I too had many miscarriages before even having any babies. I did end up with having four children. But we do have those little angels who have gone on before us in heaven. I know they are looking down upon us and we shall see them again someday.

Yep, I'll agree... this is an amazing hobby that brings us all together and we are kindred spirits, so friendships are easily formed and kept for always. I'm one of the privileged ones who actually knows you in person! And it was worth the drive up and down the hill to spend such a lovely day with you and Chris and the kids. Give them all hugs for me. See you Friday!!!

Love,
