Beyond Wickidz.....

What is a Wickid?  Let me show you...

We have a new preview for you today over at Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls!  Whoohoo!!

A totally new DIGI release!  A bit darker than my norm too!  Check these errr... creepy cuties?  out!

First is Damien... you know you have a little creepy cutie running around your neighborhood!  Now don't be threatened by his errr... "Sword" he's just playing Knights of the Dark Realm...maybe! HA!

I saw the spotted technique on my friend Lori's pieces. I had never given it a try, with this one I thought I'd be brave and go for it! I really like the outcome!

Next up is little Malice, not at all like Alice... she's quite dark, mysterious instead of curious, and not too happy as you can see... but she's ready to welcome you to her neighborhood!  Unfortunately I did not manage to finish her, but I did color her!  I made a horrid mistake in her hair with my Copics, as the B28 got super juicy... I covered it with a bow!  I will post the finished card as soon as I get a chance to finish it!  So sorry, but hope you at least enjoy my coloring!

Finally for today, we have little Petunia... she's got friends that have been bad!  Remember that in Lilo and Stitch?  I totally thought of that when I started coloring this image!  She's one funky little girl!  I tried something totally different with the hair, large, medium, and small circles with darker colors.  I kinda like it, makes it look fluffy! I also went super simple with this card... I wanted the image to be the star!

I hope you enjoyed my three new cute creepies!  I really enjoyed coloring each one and creating something fun, dark, and different!  See you all tomorrow for three more new images!  Whoohoo!

Please head on over to Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls to see what the rest of the DT team has prepared for you!

Scrapbook Flair All things Altered Blog Hop!!

Hello and Happy Friday everyone!

Today is our All things Altered Blog hop!  Whoohoo!  You have probably made your way over here from the awesome, the talented, and dear friend of mine Nicole (CanadianNickelScrapn).  I am sure you were wowed by her talent!  She is one rockin' chick!  If you have landed here by just skippin' around blog land, no worries you can take the All Things Altered Blog Hop tour anyway and go backward to get to the beginning, or just check out the order below, I have posted the list of all hoppers from beginning to end.

Today I have an awesome Altered object for you!  I was invited by Pam of Scrapbook Flair (our most awesome hostess) months ago to join in on this awesome All things Altered hop and its finally here!  Let me tell you, when Pam invited me I was so excited I made my first altered project... but I couldn't wait to show it off!  I had to make a new one since I had already shown my project.  I did my second one, then showed that one and the third and fourth off!  Back to altering I had to go!  Well finally here we were the week before the hop and guess what... I had nothing done!  OMgosh!  I had to attend to my family for dinner at about 6pm tonight, then headed off to the craft room to bust out my altered item!

So here is my altered item: Mom's Chef hat! My mom works as a chef at the Marriott hotel in Los Angeles, I thought this would be great for her!

I started with a plain canvas chef hat:

Spritzed it with the new Ranger Dylusions sprays:

Colored in my image; Spaghetti Christian from yours truely in Sepia tone:
Bottle Caps can be found here: Simply B Stamps.net

added all my embellishments and viola!  Bon Appetite yeah?!

Here's my daughter Rio wearing the hat, cracking up too cause she said she felt like a dork!

See the cute little spatulas?

One more of Rio wearing the hat, still laughing!  LOL

So how was that for an altered item?  I have also posted the three previous altered items that I had intended for the hop, but just couldn't wait and showed them prematurely and had to make yet a new altered item (not that I mind, I loved it)!

So off you go onto the next person on the hop... Debbie!!  I am sure she has something magnificent for you in store!

Let's Alter and goth it up!

Hello bloggers!  Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls and I are back!

Whoop whoop!

Today we have a super fun challenge!  Goth up those cuties and Alter it!  That means take anything cute, goth it up and then apply it to an altered project!  Sounds fun no?

I will be honest I was stumped at first, I thought what did I get myself in to?  Do I have anything that isn't already goth?  Yes, yes I do!

Teen Scene Christian!  Let's see how it started:

Just an ordinary cutting board found at Jo-Ann's.... like eight years ago!  Wow am I a hoarder or what!

So I took Everyday Teen Scene Christian and "gothed" him up... just a little eyeliner under the eyes and you got yourself a "goth" of course not a hard core goth as I used to be, but more goth than his normal cute Everyday Teen Scene self!

I thought now what can I do.... I know I sure don't want to put him on the cutting board and then later use the cutting board and put all kinds of ugly cut lines on him!  So instead this is what I came up with:

Viola a super cute and cool sign!  This is going to hang on Christian's wall!  I have a wall designated for each of my kids in my home.  Each wall has Canvas layouts of themselves and all their crazy shenanigans! I am going to make one of these for each one and put it on their wall!  Christian loved this sign of his!  For being an 18 year old he sure does love seeing little drawings and scrapbook layouts of himself and this one he loved so much he wanted it in his room!  Too bad!  He can't have it!  HA!

Well, I hope you enjoyed my altered gothed up project.  I threw it together in three hours so I am quite proud of it having come out so cute in such short time!  I usually take days to do something!

The papers are super old... like 2008 Prima Extreme Boy or something like that.  I am sorry I don't remember the name exactly.  The image of course is mine from our Teen Scene Line, available in digi....SOON.  ;)

Fun new things are happening over at Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls!  I hope you all will join us over there and become a follower!  New slightly "darker" stamps will be released over there, and of course freebies for followers at certain milestones will also follow!  Check it all out and join in on the fun!  We have a brand spankin' new fun release coming at the end of the month and you won't want to miss it!

My own Burton Boy...

Welcome to our Burton Chibis Series 2 blog hop!

You have probably hopped on over here from Barbara's blog and so you are on the right path!  If you have landed here just out of the blue, you can start the hop by visiting the SBS blog, or just scroll down for the complete list!

Ok on to the main event!
 It's release day! Whoot whoot!

Another fun image that is close to my heart!  Burtonized Christian, that's my Christian only Burtonized!  Of course he is also a fan of Freddy Krueger therefore the glove with the blades was a must!  It's kind of an inside joke in our family he's the Slicing, and dicing Dark Knight!  HA!

Of course I had to give him as much Purple as I could as it's Christian's favorite color!  I really enjoyed coloring him up, but was in a moving car while coloring so forgive the mess I made of his face... the markers got a bit jiggled around.

I hope you have enjoyed this release and hope you will love my Burton Chibis Series 2 as much as I do! Your next stop is Cyndi!  I am sure she has an awesome card for you!

Altering it!

Hello blog land!  Longtime no post eh?

I have been so much into altering lately, hats, boxes, toasters (not really), and just about anything I can!

Today over at Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls we are kicking off our second challenge!  We challenge you to Alter it!  Spook it out, Burtonize it, do what you will... just ALTER!  This is a great chance to bust out those sprays, embossing powders, pains, and any fun medium you prefer to start altering away!

I took this box, which I happily applied Crackle paint to....

and turned it into this:
Close up of the bottle caps

Of course this is just the top of the box, I have not yet finished the whole project!  It is going to be an album in a box all about ME!  and my idiosyncrasies!  If you know me, you know that the theme is well fitting!  I love how it turned out!  Love the rich purples, and can't believe I didn't smudge the image by applying ink so close to it all around it.  I have been playing with all my embossing powders a lot lately! You probably can't tell but, the Skull, the Spider, and the small bottle cap with the two tones are all done with embossing powder!  I hope you have enjoyed my altered project!  Please head on over to Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls and get your entries in, most importantly leave the gals some lovin'!  They have done some awesome stuff for you to see!
