Woot woot! Happy April everyone! Can you believe that we are getting snow! It started Wednesday afternoon and it's been non stop. Not too much gathered though... guess that was Mother Nature's April Fool to us because it started so beautiful and sunny then... Bam! Big beautiul flakes were coming down as I was putting on the finishing touches on my Scrap Project for Ella's Pink Scrapbook!
Okay okay, enough of my babble onto the main event! Today is our first Scrapbook Challenge over at the Pink Elephant! The first challenge was to show us your favorite scrapbook technique!
Well, my favorite techniques are to use acrylic paints with my masks and mount the layout onto canvas or my living room... you see I do not have any picture frames on my walls, if I can't scrap it, it's not going on my walls! So... I thought hey, I can totally mount a page or two on canvas and then I could put it on my wall! Genius I know huh... of course I wish I could tell ya I invented it, but I didn't. I am sure I got the idea from somewhere! Hee hee.
Okay, at any rate here is my Layout using one 12x12 Fancy Pants Dude Collection paper, lots of stickles and crystals. A few Tim Holtz sprockets along with Tim Holtz Masks. The paint is from Making Memories! I have included a close up so you can kind of see all the small accents made with the stickles and crystals, but I had a hard time with the whole picture as it is a long canvas size... ummm I think it's 18x6 or something like that. I did my best and hope you all get the general idea of the layout!

Oh I love it Betty! I have been recently experimenting with Tim Holtz stuff, they would be perfect for something like this. And I sooo should try the canvas thing, my walls are absolutely bare, I have some sort of issue with hanging stuff on the walls, always looking for the perfect thing I guess so I should give this a try! Thanks for the idea!
Wowee Betty, this is a little masterpiece!!! I would love to have something like this hanging on my walls...I've gotta try this technique! Love it!
What a great idea Betty and I love your page too!! Absolutly Fab-U-Lous!!
This is such fun! The paper & ribbons are such a perfect match, and I love the "scrapbooking on the walls" - in fact I've had a stash of mini canvases & hardware for a few years now...sadly still waiting to be used. So thanks for the reminder & inspiration! One day...LOL!
This came out fab & I love the unusual size. Enjoy the snow!
Awesome!
