CHAPTER ONE: DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE: THE BEGINNING...
"The White Rabbit put on his spectacles. "Where shall I begin, please your Majesty?" he asked.
"Begin at the beginning," the King said gravely, "and go on till you come to the end: then stop."

ALICE GETS GLAM: INSPIRATION CHALLENGE
In anticipation of the upcoming Tim Burton remake, let's GET GLAM with Alice! Jessica recently scored this UBER fab makeup palette by Urban Decay and fell in love with the awesome colors, the NAMES of the eyeshadows (all after Alice, of course ;) and the pop-up mushroom mirror! It took me three days and a three hour drive but I finally tracked one down! Woot woot! Can't wait to get dolled up and Glamed with it this weekend for movie night with hubby! Okay on to the Rabbit Hole!
We wanna see how YOU get Glam using this amazing little piece as your inspiration! Show us your style, put on the glitz, and GET GLAM!
And WHAT would our first Challenge be without a PRIZE?! Now, normally we'll be (hopefully) sponsored on the 1st Sat. of each month, but for today's FIRST Fall Down the Rabbit Hole, we thought we'd give away a little something! ONE LUCKY WINNER will be chosen at Random to WIN a stamp single of their choice from THE GREETING FARM (in stock items only). So, GOOD LUCK and here's how to play:
You have until FRIDAY, February 26, 2010 at 10pm CST to upload your card or project using the above inspiration photo as your muse! Upload to your blog or public gallery (please use keyword OAC1) and LINK your name below using Mr. Linky! We can't WAIT to see your creations and THANK YOU for your support of this CURIOUS new venture!
Now here is how I Got Glamed! Nothing says Glam more to me than Glitter, lots of color, and Swavorski Crystals! I added all three elements to my card.
Although I did something completely different... no digi, no wooden, no acrylic stamp! Was that MAD of me or what? Guess when you hang with people like Jess you go a little mad too! I took a flyer that was mailed to me promoting Alice In Wonderland the movie at El Capitan theater in Hollywood CA and cut it up! My cutie patootie Johnny aka The Mad Hatter is the center of this card. I added Orange stickles to his hair to Glam it up. The ribbon was perfect! It is from Mya Road. The paper is all Halloween! The black GLITTER striped one is Spooky Alley from Making Memories, the purple with circles and funky shapes, and the green polka dots (also Glammed up with Lime Green Stickles) is one paper-double sided from Pine Cone Press. The stick pins are unknown sorry, I just picked them up from a local scrapbook store. The large polka dotted brad is Queen and Co. and the small crown is from a Martha Stewart corner punch... I GLAMED that up too with Lime Green glitter. The dew drops are from The Robin's Nest color black. I think I covered everything...oh wait the Font I got from DaFont it was so close to the Alice In Wonderland font I had to have it! The name of the font is Gingerbread House, weird eh? It's a bit spooky for Gingerbread House! I hope you all enjoy it! This was so much fun for me! I was so excited to do this card... actually its going to be an invite for my daughter's Mad Tea Party birthday in March... she actually turned 12 in Feb, but we were snowed in as we are every year for her birthday... so what better time to postpone it to that after the release of the movie right? Okay, I have jabber jawed enough please go give the rest of the The Mad Hatter herself and the Twisted Thirteen come lovin'! You won't be disappointed!
