I have spent the whole weekend working on my canvases! YAY! Pretty soon my bare walls won't be bare! LOL I went from Christmas to Halloween, to Cowboy! Hope you all like them!

Sadly no, I am not pregnant! But in 9 months it will be HALLOWEEN! YAY!!!

I have been watching The Munsters all day with my DD today, she has giggled non stop! She had never seen the episodes and today thanks to Netflix we found the episodes on instant play!

So, since yesterday for my crop night I worked on Christmas and listened to Jewel... today we watched the Munsters and I worked on this past Halloween night pictures!

I used Pincone Press Halloween paper, and one from Prima... it is all at least three-two years old! I really need to start plucking away at all my paper! it's a ridiculous amount! I hardly use it too since I am usually trying to move the papers I have in stock along with my stamps. This weekend we have had tables, chairs, and ott lights set up in the living room. Cricut, Slice, Spellbinders, and Sizzix in the kitchen. Even the printer has been brought into the living room for journaling! I have been scrapbooking! Can you believe that! I am so caught up in my next release (previews start Feb. 4th) that I have actually had prints ordered and started working on them instead of just throwing them in their photo boxes... YAY!!

I also have one of our newest Bettys... Scrapbooking Betty! She will be released in rubber later this year with some more awesome Bettys! Today if you purchase a full sheet she is yours as a digi free! She will not be available for Digi purchase at all.

Ummm, I just wanna say that it is slightly askew cause my little guy wanted to help me craft this one. He pasted the polka dot background down for me (when I wasn't looking) and well it was too late. Ok? Ok! LOL not my fault it is crocked!

I used to love playing Tea time with Rio... She had loads of fun tea sets. Actually I myself collect them too! I have 23 sets! LOL of course one of my favorites is my Halloween set! heh heh

I am again, not sure which way I was going with the way I colored her hair, but I rather liked it!

Tin Lunch pails, bologna sandwiches, an apple, and milk brings back memories of Elementary school! I used to sit on a start rug just like this one that Lunch time Brittany is sitting on!

Kitty Love London preview day 2

I hope you feel in love with Box of Chocolates Miller, but not too much as today we have Kitty Love London for you, and oh my is she beeee-autyful!

I am sorry about how sloppy I have been coloring these, but I kinda like the outcome. I didn't take my time like I usually do, as I wanted to see them all done. You know how it is when you have something in your head, and just can't wait to finish! I have been anxious throughout all of these.

I once again used the same color schemes, I am loving the black, white and pink! The paper is again from Echo Park's Be collection Mine from last year.

A New Year, a new image, and a new start!

Well hello there personal blog! I have missed you so!

It has been a while since I have posted here, I am always so busy busy with my business blog that I give this one little or no love at all! Well that is going to change in this year! I have many resolutions, and one of them is to scrap, stamp, and craft just for me, just for fun! Of course doing my own images is fun, but I got to the point where I was starting to feel icky about my own stuff cause I wanted to do other stuff.... you know what I mean?

Okay, enough of that let's get onto the fun stuff! Today I am previewing a brand spankin' new cutie!

Box of Chocolates Miller, from our very first new line for 2012! Wow can you believe how fast 2011 went!? Box of Chocolates Miller is from our new line to be released Friday! This line is called Teen Scene Steampunk Valentine. I promise you will fall in LOVE with these cuties! Betty, Christian, Rio, Lola, and London will follow in the days to come and they are ca-yute!

I was in a very black and white and pink mood, so I colored Miller in using 12 colors only (yeah I know ONLY huh, hee hee):

N0, N2, N4, N6, N8, RV04, RV06, RV09

I just thought these colors appropriate for the theme, and yet not too girly for a masculine image. Makes me think of way back when you could buy those special markers that you could color on your black and white pictures to add just a touch of color. I think they were Zig pens, gosh I don't remember it was when Scrapbooking was making it's way into the crafting world and all kind of new fun stuff was being invented! Not that they don't continue to invent fun stuff of course!

Oh and I am also entering this into the ColourQ challenge #117. It was pure luck that they happen to be challenging peeps to use basic black and white and any one color! I thought my card fit in perfectly!

I used papers from my stash, that I have been hoarding for a year as it is Echo Park Be Mine Collection, their 2011 Valentine line. I just love the color combo on this paper. Of course I love anything with black and pink in it no matter what, but this paper is really elegant and pretty.

New Year's Resolution #7

What is my New Year's Resulotion #7... to craft more, for me. I am constantly drawing, planning, coloring, and crafting for my SBS stuff... not that I mind! However, I never get to do my Canvas layouts, or just craft for fun anymore. It is fun to do my own stamps of course, but sometimes I want to just scrapbook or create without having to meet deadlines.

It is time to start that baby album... errr for my now 18 year old, the 13 year old and the 3 year old! My gosh, I bet Shutterfly hates me! So many thousands of uploaded pictures and not one order! LOL

This week I finished all my projects for the upcoming release, oh yeah, we have a preview in the New Year, right on the first day of the year! So stay tuned for the first preview... but for today let me just share what I have been able to work on now that I have the business stuff in order...

I took this picture of Jude holding daddy's hand at the Autopia line waiting to get into their little car and drive off... thank goodness they only drove off for five minutes!

I have no idea what setting I used, but the picture turned out so nice, even the kids said it looked like a pro had taken it! I loved it even more when I uploaded it and made it black and white. I had it printed in 8x10 and again loved it in black and white. Today, I thought it needed just a little bit of color... so I experimented with my Copic Y02! To my delight it did just what I wanted it to do... just tint it, bring out his little shirt. You see, this was one of my absolute favorite little outfits of Jude's. In this picture Jude is only about a year and a half. The Overalls outfit was for a 24 month old, but my 1 and a half year old was already outgrowing it. He's a big kid! I couldn't bare to do away with the Overalls, but I knew there was no point in keeping something that doesn't fit him! So, I took a piece of it... the little pocket. I gave the outfit to my mom for her neighbor that had just had a baby boy, she was a bit upset that I tore out the pocket, but I didn't tear the Overalls at all... and I really don't care! LOL I wanted my little guys pocket! He would always put his little hand in there and say, "Where's it Mommy?" In the sweetest little 1 1/2 year old voice ever! The layout will be mounted on a canvas and hung on Jude's wall, each kid has wall in our home. It is simple, and was a fast creation, but I think the sweetest things sometimes are simple. This little pocket and it's story is one of the most simple pleasures associated with a memory about my little Jude. I think it was fitting to be made simple but sweet!

I hope you enjoyed it, the paper is from my stash, so I am very happy I finally used it! It is from Animal Crackers Jack from Making Memories. I have had that since I first opened my store back in 2006 something like that! LOL

Now, don't faint, but I may actually post a new one again tomorrow... I am on a roll! Listening to Jewel these past few days has gotten me in such a crafty mood... actually just plugging in my iPod and letting it shuffle from Jewel to Metallica, to the Sex Pistols, to the Tangled Soundtrack (I know what a mix eh) has really gotten me in the crafty mood!

I really enjoyed myself with these guys, I think it's because they really are quite versatile! We went from Baking up stress free goodies, to a Halloween theme, to now a Summer inspired card! Imaging the possibilities with these cuties, you can make any of them any theme really!

Why it's a Christmas card, with that Betty twist!

Welcome to our 1st day of 12 days of Scary Christmas... well not too scary right, more Betty Scary which is more cute and quirky than anything really!

I am super excited about this fun new 12 days of Challenges! It's going to take us straight through till Christmas Eve! Yay! That will keep me busy and focused on crafting instead of shopping, shopping, and more shopping! Well not that I mind it, I just have too many crafty supplies! Whut? Did I just type that? I must be going looney!

Today I have a super fun card, the challenge is to recreate your favorite Nightmare Before Christmas scene! I have sooo many from this movie that it was hard to pick, but I wanted to try my hand at drawing scenes, I can draw characters a little, but have never tried actual scenes. I have on canvas with paints, but not drawing them around my stamps.

So, of course I started with my Skellington Jack Chibi. I then picked up my trusty pen and just started sketching out my scene around him. As you can see it is really rough, I did not try to be to perfect in this drawing of the scene, as I think the scenes themselves are meant to be rough and tough :)! I did it really quickly, and colored it all up even quicker! So forgive me, it's not my best but I kinda like the outcome!

The paper I used for the base of the card is from Making Memories, one of their Halloween lines from 2008 I think! It's old for sure. The ornament is from the Winter Frolic carttridge for the Cricut. The ribbon I scored at .59 cents on black Friday at Michaels and used it! OMG I never buy something and use it right away! Whoot whoot! Go me! Well I hope you like my super rushed card! 12 Bats a Flying...

As many of you know, I am the owner of Simply Betty Stamps. I am a crafter by heart. Have always been, I think I started the scrapbook trend! HA HA HA!

I remember having a polaroid camera, taking pictures of my friends constantly and making my own scrapbooks with my doodles, and stickers I found here and there. Again, all this before the Scrapbooking industry hit! I fell in love with rubber stamping in High School. I remember walking in to my first stamp store called Stamp, Stamp, Stamp. I looked at a few stamps and thought, "Oh my gosh, these are expensive I will never have a collection!" Well, here we are 4355 wooden stamps (that's after two months of purging), 285 clear stamp sets, and well not to mention my own lines, later!

Nothing is more soothing to me than sitting, stamping and coloring! Crafting in general really!

Haunty Halloween Hop

Ok so today I have a special card, with a special sneak peek... I know that's cheating, but I am allowed to cheat and sneak peek ya an image or two right?

This is Hamlet, he is a brand spankin' new image that will be accompanied by five more in this line (sneak peaks start on the 24th)! I was going to use this for another special post, but I had to share it now as I am so proud of it. I rarely like what I make, but I LOVE what I did with this one!

I used my Happy Haunting (maybe it was the October 31st) cartridge for the window. I placed it on my image and decided where I wanted the image to show through. Once I had figured out where I wanted the image showing through I cut out pieces of the creepy window frame to allow the image to bee seen. It's that cool? I know, I know conceited huh? Heeh heeh, I just really like how it turned out!

On the Fourth Day of Halloween

Welcome to day four of our 12 days of Halloween! yay!!

I am very excited as tonight is exactly 12 days until Halloween! I have a little tradition I do with my kids 12 days until Halloween, where each day we do something fun and Halloweenish! Tonight we baked Halloween cupcakes with the little guy yay! I will share pictures later with my 12 days of Halloween album, I promise!

I used Skeleton Peter Digi for my project, I just merged him four times. The paper again is from K&Co., and I used my Copics to color my Peters in! I really, really like how this one turned out! Hope you like it too, see you all soon with more Halloween fun!

My "ghoul" Love gave to me... Three Black Cats!

Welcome back everyone, I missed the post yesterday but you cans still see my card at the Simply BEtty Stamps blog!

Today, for the first time in a long time I am very happy with my card..whoohoo!

I have used Emo Witch Betty for my image, and Tim Holtz die for the cat... I LOVE THIS DIE! It's one of his newer movers, so cool! The paper is K&Company. The super large bow is made from Ribbon I had from about four, maybe five years ago from Michaels! Don't you just love it when you finally use something from your stash that you were waiting for the absolute right project to us it on, I do!

Day 1 of 12 Days of Halloween...

October is finally here! Yay! What better way to celebrate than with 12 days of Halloween! So let's get this Halloween party started, again, and agian, and again depending on how many Halloween posts I get done from here until the actual day right? *wink, wink*

Today our day one is all about an owl in a rotted oak tree! I found the best owl on my October 31st Cricut cartridge whoo whoo! The image is the Addams couple found in my shop (plenty still available) and I had this one colored for months, but never got around to actually building a card... today I thought it was the perfect image for my first day of the 12 days of Halloween! It was my first attempt at a black and white colored image, not bad eh? The paper is from Echo Park Apothecary Emporium. The orange and purple background was done using the Holiday Distress Inks from Tim Holtz.

Special rush release....

I was hoping that this release would be on track for Monday as usual, with a preview then a release on Tuesday. However, many times we are faced with challenges and are at times forced to take a different route and make changes accordingly.

Here is the newest line: Jude and the Rockers Fall...I have all mine colored up with my Copics, but have been so pre-occupied with everything that I did not get a chance to make cards, these are digitally colored by my awesome friend Lelia! However please check out Simply Betty Stamps blog to see al the awesomeness the DT has created with these cuties!

...and the reason I am rushing to get this line out...

My son Christian 17, has had a sore throat for about a month now. The first doctor said it was tonsillitis's. Seven days of Amoxocillin was administered. Two days after the last pill, he was sick again, with a sore throat, and a fever. Back we went to put him on Caphlex... again seven days of antibiotics. On the fourth day he was not improving so we took him back. Ok it's strep now. They kept him on Caphlex but gave him a booster shot. Three full days of starting to get better, he was able to eat again, drink, and talk. He fell sick again on the fourth day, this time they took a culture and send it to the lab. Monday I got a call that I needed to take Christian in to a specialist, well not just any specialist an Oncologist to go over his culture with me. That appointment was for today Friday, I have of course been stressed the whole time, day after day. When one is not given test results over the phone, one does not worry. When we are asked to come in to discuss the results something is up. The last thing I ever imagined, was to hear the doctor tell me that my 17 year old son has throat cancer. The first question out of my mouth was, "Is my son going to die?" I still can't believe I mustered enough energy to roll those words out of my mouth.

Christian has Stage 1 throat cancer, he will not die from it, but of course they can't ever say to me 100% no he is not going to die. That 99% that he is going to survive it, still puts a mother on edge. My son needs an operation immediately. We have had a series of bad luck, like everyone else due to financial situations. Our brand new Nissan broke down, no problem we will fix it when we fix it. Our house needs minor repairs, again no big deal it will get fixed when it gets fixed. My son needs an operation that will help him get well and be the class clown, kind hearted, silly kid he is... Now there's a problem! We can't just fix it when we fix it and let it sit. He will be going through testing for a week, as he has expressed his "bones" hurting as well. Doctors would like us to move quickly on the operation to prevent any further stages or other unpleasant issues. We live 1 1/2 hours away from the hospital, and you can imagine I do not want to be far from my son. I am not asking for a hand out, or pan handling is that the word? I am willing to offer my products at discounted rates in the hope that it will bring in what is going to be needed in the next week or two while we go through the motions. There are always extra medical bills as the insurance doesn't cover anyone 100%, we have a co-pay that have no idea where to pull it from, we don't have a magic top hat :(. I am not asking again, for a hand me down, just asking that if you ever wanted a Simply Betty Stamp, your purchase would be a blessing at this moment.

Whut? Should I be alarmed that my then 1 1/2 year old found comfort in the arms of a monster? Well, in all fairness we are the Halloween Family! Everyone knows my kids house, cause it's always decked out starting August, okok July-ish with Halloween lights! We create a maze every year for the neighborhood through our backyard, so as Jude is part of our family we hoped that he wouldn't be freaked out with all the Halloween goodies "laying" around, like skulls, fake bloody hands, coffins, and such! Obviously as you can see in this picture of him cuddling with Michael Meyers trying to sleep~he was not affected!

I did this layout in under 30 minutes, so forgive me it's not spectacular! I wanted to focus on my Freddy stamp cause he's awesome! Doen's he just look like he is saying, "Can I get in on that hug?" LOL

I used Making Memories Spooky Alley papers as well as Stampin' Up. The spider chipboard is from Bazzil Chips, and of course the stamp Simply Betty Stamps. The letters were cut from Mickey Font on my Cricut, and stamped with Tim Holtz splatter stamp. I colored Freddy Kruger Boy with my Copics!

I never thought I could pull it off, using mostly non-traditional Halloween colors on my Halloween images! I really challenged myself even further when I used a non Halloween paper line! I must say I really liked the outcome, hope you all do too!

Here's Jacob the Warewolf, I think he's a bit cuter than the other Jacob! LOL

Gillian the Ghost, doesn't she look just super sad, but beautiful?

Draco the Ghost Gent. I love this image, although I messed him up three times I finally gave up at the end and thought I'd try not coloring him... just stamped him on a piece of craft paper and outlined him with a white Prisma pencil...shhhhh the Copics may hear that!

Here's a bit of a close up, I used Crackle accent all over the image, it started to curl and crack, and I thought, "Oh no, I am going to have to re-do him again!!!" BUT, I actually liked the outcome.

Bella the Vampire. She looks so quiet, bet she's the Wicked-est of them all!

Fabric, and a big mess! WOW is that my desk? I got a little lazy and just threw the stuff I want to work on there today. Going to start my Halloween costume... wish me luck! I have made my kids costumes that were very simple and used those easy Sewing for Dummies patterns! Today I have a more complicated one that I am not sure how I am going to pull off, but I am going to give it a try. I have six completely cut and ready to sew costumes from previous years, that I just can't seem to get myself to finish. The fabric is all cut and ready to just sew, but I am terrified of it.... let's hope I see it through this time!

I love how he is 17 but would still dress like this! I think it's what all those little girls chasing him like, his down to earth goofy humor!

I love Zombies...well the more cute and fake ones! I always tell my kids I love the to bits, but if we are ever caught in a Zombie Apocalypse I will do everything in my power to save you all, but if you trip or fall I am sorry babies but Momma got to go! So don't fall or I will leave you behind! LOL

Back 2 Skool we go....

Actually my kids have been back in school since August 1st! At leaset it wasn't in July like two years back! With just a few more days till they have been back for a month, we are busy with loads of fun stuff for my daughter which is now an 8th grader, and my son which is now a Señor! Yikes! Just think, just when I was getting close to being out of the woods.... I went and had another baby, he's of course now 2 years old getting really close to three in a three months, but I have to do it all over again with him! Geeez!

Okay, okay, enough about me right let's get onto the fun new release happening over on my SBS blog!

The new Back 2 Skool Teens have started to appear and are ready for roll call!

Today I am going to start you all off with two previews, I actually have three, but one of them is combined with an image that is not yet released/previewed until tomorrow when it is released!

In an effort to help my kid be "teacher's pet" I have created these fun buckets for each of her teachers...

The first one features Book Pile Miller for her English teacher (hope she's not upset it's not a female image). He is ready to hit those books and get this year started! I used We R Memory Keepers School line paper from last year and the pail is from Stampendous (but you can find that at simplybettystamps.com too). I feel my buckets were very simple, but I am sure they teachers will still appreciate them. I should have gone with larger buckets as I was unable to do much as far as decorating these small buckets. But again, it's the thought that counts and well the pails are filled with sweets! I did not color this Miller, my friend Dawn did as she was helping me out with all my coloring, I have loads to go still until the end of the year with new sutff!! Didn't she do an amazing job with Miller!!?

Next up, and she is one of my favorites in this line, alwasy so Sassy... Sporty Lola! Is that green hair not the best ever or what?!! I absolutely love how it turned out! I keep telling my self I have to take some online lessons or something to color like the pros, but this one did turn out pretty good, well her hair did anyway! She is just the prettiest little basketball player around! I made this bucket for Rio's P.E. teacher of course. Used the same paper as I did for Miller's bucket from We R Memory Keppers.

SO whatcha think? I have had these forever... colored and all! This one is also a new stamp now available, but I ran out of time to finish my card, I plan on finishing it, but wanted to show you my first attempt to black and white coloring... whoohoo

Addams couple, this is one stamp, just took my Betty and Christian and merged them to make it into one combo stamp, for those that don't like to or can't mask. I have been asked many times to combine some images for "couples" cards and such. Imagine the fun that you can create with this couple stamp for Anniversaries, Valentines, and just because I love you cards and projects!

It's Halloween again...

Well sort of right? It is Halloween again here on my blog, but the real Halloween is just around the corner!

Today we have three new stamps to show you! I have been so anxious about these cuties since March! I know that is a long time for me to hold a secret!! Let's get on with it right, no more waiting!

First we have London Mummy! From my new Teen Scene Halloween line. She and her little kitty Lynx are ready for some spooky fun! I used all Echo Park Apothecary Emporium papers! These papers can now be found online at Simplybettystamps.com, but I will have a special package deal tomorrow which will include all 12 new papers, 2 sticker sheets, and 7 of our 8 new stamps all in one bundle for a very special price! I will have all the details for you tomorrow along with the rest of our new images!

The sentiment is also a part of our Teen Scene Halloween release. I don't know about you all, but I tend to color, without trying to find paper first, then end up having to buy paper to match my colors! No wonder I have loads, and loads of paper... I keep buying! With these images, as I mentioned before, I had them ready a long time ago, that I didn't count on using paper with only three colors; cream, black, and orange. However, I think that it turned out pretty well considering my images were already stamped and colored before I got the paper line!

Igor Miller, I loooved that movie Igor, and love the Igor we see in The Nightmare Before Christmas. I don't know why but I love this character and Miller is one of the cutest Igors out there! Just look at his big cute eyes! I re-did Miller three times! Just couldn't get him right, the first time I had to peel him off the original card, I ended up messing up the edge of the cardstock, but I thought it looked cool! So, I started randomly adding my double sided tape here and there on the edges, and pulling them off fast so that it would tear off pieces from the cardstock Miller is so well stamped and colored on. It turned out quite nice don't you think? I love it when mistakes turn out to be a "technique" I call it the, "I messed up again, but going to cover my butt by calling it a technique, technique!" LOL! Sentiment is agian, my own which will be a set releasing with these cuties tomorrow! The fence is from the October 31st cartridge for the Cricut machine.

My third image for tonight is my little Teen Scene Rio as the Evil Queen. Sadly, my 13 year old Rio is becoming obsessed with the mirror herself, TEENS!!!

Evil Queen Rio is the cutest of them all no? Love her little Mirror on the go as she is ready to stalk the neighborhood! Ready to collect those treats! This card gave me grief as well! I did not re-do her at all, but sat there staring at it for 20 minutes before I put on the finishing touches. I was so unhappy at first, as all I had was the background paper that already had the tree and the moon printed on it. The torn strip with the ribbon on it, and Evil Queen Rio popped up. I thought it looked so plain and boring. I then thought about the alphas I had and came up with the WICKED arched above Rio with the CUTE squares sentiment. Of course I had to trow some stickles on those letters to make them pop as well. Again, I colored Rio before I had the paper in stock, but even though the paper only has three colors on it, I feel Rio having more than just those three colors worked perfectly with the line!

This is my first What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday over at Stamping Ground! Whoohoo!

I am actually starting it off early in the morning... it's about 12:09 right now and I can't sleep cause hubby talked me into watching Insidious... so now I will be scared for a week! Which means loads of crafting done, but super tired! I have a toddler after all that can sleep at night and is up at the crack of dawn, just about when I start seeing the light and I am no longer scared! LOL I know for a person that loooooves Halloween I am a scaredy cat!

Okay so I am working on one my four Halloween releases! Whew... see told ya I love Halloween and must have four lines... can't tell ya which one this is, but I am having fun, fun, fun with it and you can see a little sneaky of it! I am making a kit for this new line of stamps too! Using We R Memory Keepers new Halloween line Spookville! I love this line! We R Memory Keepers is one of my favorite paper companies out there! Sadly I have OCD and can't bring myself to show the mess surrounding my area... you can't even see my Copics here! It's probably why it takes me forever to finish a darn card, I make one, then clean it all up, then I need the spellbinder I just used on card #1 so I have to go dig it out of it's container where it's put away according to shape, size, or some other silly factor! My daughter says it drives her crazy when she crafts with me cause she is a disaster zone and I will clean up after her too! She says I always misplace her stuff! I always ask "how do you find your stuff!" Well anyway here's my mess:

I also have some cold pizza on my desk! I love cold pizza! I purposely buy it one day ahead so I can have it cold the next day! My kids think I am weird, but I catch them eating MY cold pizza all the time! Of course working on all this Halloween stuff is making me want Halloween to be her faster! It's nice a quite and I can think and craft, but one small sound and I am freaked out! I think I may call hubby on his cell, I know it sits on his night stand, and I am in my daughter's room and need him to come get me so I don't have to walk the hallway by myself! I know, I know so silly but that movie freaked me out!

Ok well off I go to finish a card or two, then I am so calling my hubby to come get me! I know from my daughter's room to ours! What a scaredy cat really!

Sorry Christmas is not quite as special to me as Halloween! Don't get me wrong I love Christmas too, but Halloween is my Most Favorite time of the Year!

So, I have started the celebrations at home, planned out maze, our Halloween parties, and Halloween outings. It was only fitting that I start the celebration at Simply Betty Stamps!

Merkids on the horizon...

Nope not a Pirates theme... but these Merkids are much nicer than those seen in the last Pirate movie! Cute, and ready to celebrate Summer and Winter season with you!

Meet Summer Merkid. As you can see she's our Summer Merkid so named after this hot season which is blazing hot where I am, and I am in a much cooler place! I can't believe how hot it's getting up here in the "cool" mountains! It's supposed to hit 91 next week... OMG I am going to melt I am not used to this heat up here! Good thing we have the lake, which Jude and I are sure to jump into these next few days.

Okay well enough of my rambling here's Summer: I have used Summer Days Paper from Echo Park, the sentiment, sun and sticker clouds are from the same collection. I went very simple with these cards as they are bright and cheery. Not dark and gloomy Betty-ish, but sometimes I can enjoy the out of the dark ordinary and go for totally cute and bright!

Our second little Merkid from this line is Frosty! Isn't he the cutest building his snowman? Under the sea, imagine the temperatures in those waters to have snow! LOL Still I prefer the bitter cold over the heat! As does Frosty here! The paper used is from Pine Cone Press, the words from the same papers, it is a collage of words and I simply cut a few out and arranged them on my card. I also seem to have gone a bit Stickle crazy. That is because Merkids and Mermen, and Mermaids are magical after all. They probably do shimmer and sparkle!

Hello everyone! I am back and so is Simply Betty Challenges! Whoohoo!

I used all paper from Echo Park's Playground collection. The sentiment is from Graphicat Creations (my dear Cheri), and the Rock On hand die is from the Rock Princess Cricut cartridge. It's a bit simple, but I liked how it turned out... perfect for any little toddler!

Ali is one of my faves aside from my Judester's stamp replica, she has the coolest outfit on and the biggest brightest eyes! Yep she's one of my faves from this release.

Long time no blog eh? Well not really I have been blogging away at Simply Betty Stamps with releases and challenge for our celebration.... but I am back and ready to Rock your world with my little Jude and his toddler line!

Jude & the Rockers is made up after my own little Jude... the little toddler that rules this house hold and totally Rocks my world! He's the best little kid ever (not being bias or anything like that)! He makes me smile when I am down, cuddles me when I am sad and says to me "No cry mummy, I yuv you too"! He's quite the character. I can spend hours watching him play, only 2 1/2 and he has quite the imagination for playtime. Loves his Ca-CHOW (Lightning McQueen from Cars).

This first one of many Judes to come was inspired when I saw him take his big brother's Guitar from his Guitar Hero game and started to rock out! It was just the cutest thing I ever saw and wouldn't ya know it... my camera was no where to be found at the time darn it! Not to worry though, I am sure there will be many fun pictures to come and there has already been much inspiration from many things Jude does during his playtime adventures.

No I haven't gone looney! Today we have a fun new Challenge for you all over at The Burtonesque Dolls! Monsters have taken over Charlie's Chocolate Factory!

The challenge is to take inspiration from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie... the colors, the theme anything! So I thought maybe there was a need for a new Monster of a Chocolate Bar!

I have used Strange Skin's awesome Bride of Frankenstein digi and combined it with Alice in Wonderland paper from Graphics 45, and Robot paper from Michaels. Not bad eh? Loved the way it turned out.

Today Simply Betty Stamps is Sponsoring and they have one fun challenge... E.M.O... which means all you have to do really is use those three initials in your project.. E is for Emo, M is for Maroon, and O for Oval. Of course those are just examples.

Isn't she the cutest!! I love those pom poms!! I have no idea why I choose Pink and black as it would never be colors you would see for a cheerleader in the 50's! But, this isn't your ordinary 50's image is it!?

I know I am supposed to take my ow spin on it, but I am really liking the whole follow the leader aspect of the Sketches, and Jenn is awesome with Sketches!

I love that song! Unfortunately due to some unforeseen events, I did not make it to the midnight showing boooo!! No worries though I will be seeing it this weekend... maybe twice! Did anyone hit the midnight showing? Got pictures to share? Let me sweeten the post... I will be giving away an extra prize... how about one whole set of these Cute Pirates? Sound like fun? I have a fun one to share... this was taken for the premier of the 3rd movie... I was so giddy when this cutie approached me and agreed to pose with me for the shot. I was just minding my own business and he came up from behind and was being just a goof, just like Jack Sparrow... started playing with my hair and when I turned he just stood there like he did nothing! It was too cute... he did a pretty good impersonation of Jack! Look at my smile... it was from ear to ear! LOL

Okay now that I got that off my chest... here's my card with Captain Jack... I LOVE how this turned out! Although you can't really see it, I diamond glazed the Skull on the Pirate paper behind the image. Coloring his skin was tough, I color everyone and everything the normal Skin tones, but he is tanned so I had to dig deep into my color scheming for this one, not bad eh? So what do you think? Did you all enjoy this new release? There is a lot going on with SBS right now, revamping, regrouping and loads more coming your way... can't wait to show you all yet another release next week!

When this goes live I will be sitting comfortably (half asleep, but fighting every yawn) at Cinemark in Victorville, probably watching previews of what's to come to theaters... don't you hate how much they drag out the darn previews... give me Johnny already!!!

This is Maxine, she has found the love of her life as I watch mine (not really, the real love of my life is at home snoozing with the toddler) on the big screen! She is just too cute! I loooved all the bling I added on this one! The gem flowers are so 3D I will not be able to put it in an envelope! Papers are from the same lines as the others. Hope you like her, I think she is going to look really cool with some pink hair... just some ideas floating around in my head!

One more night! WHoohoo!!!

Today I would like you all to meet Ginger! I don't know why, but she just struck me as a red head... I think she happens to look like my lovely friend Lelia! She's probably just as sassy... what do I mean proably... she is! hee hee

I used Graphic 45 papers on this one, not so old so you all can probably still find it (look at me assuming you want to duplicate my card for fun) the cross stitches were done using Bazzill Basics thread and the Skull is from Rusty Pickle. I used Crackle accents by Ranger on the skull and sprinkled it with the glass glitter (I think that's what it's called, or something... it's the thicker one that looks more like small broken pieces of glass) from Art Institute.... man do I have a stash of fun stuff from years ago or what! I remember all these fun goodies in my store when it first opened, I couldn't wait to use it... here we are two years afer my store closed and I am finally using it! Well, hope you like it see ya tomorrow!

Day 3 of previews and only two more until the midnight showing of Pirates 4, I am so excited!!!

I can't wait to go, I am worst than my kids! I love doing the midnight showings with my kids, it's the only time it's just the three of us, not that I don't want my hubby and toddler with us, but it's something I think the three of us will always remember... crazy Momma taking them to these wild midnight showings! LOL

I have been having a blast with this new line of mine! So excited to show you all the rest like Lizzy here.... isn't she cute? Makes me wonder what she's thinking about.. you put your right hip in, you put your right hip out... no? hee hee sorry that song popped into my head because of the two year old we are trying to teach it to him... and his left and right!

I used more Rusty Pickle paper from 2006! Wow that is a long time ago an sadly it's not the oldest paper I own. I have been hoarding so much fun paper that now when I do my projects I can't make kits or even direct you all where to get it cause it's gone :( but it was fun using it :) Even the heart with skully stamp in the middle is from way back then, I don't even remember the company... I want to say My Sentiment's Exacly? Yeah it is! Wow that was 2006 too!

Hello everyone... as you all know I own both Simply Betty Stamps and The Burtonesque Dolls... well from time to time I will be releasing fun images with both teams... I can only expect my girls on both teams to do so much before they get over worked right?

So today our release previews are coming to you from my Burton Dolls can you all give them a big whoop whoop?!! LOL ok enough silliness let's get onto the cuteness!

Today I have Bonnie for you, I had so much fun doing this card because it is the first time in a long, long, long... LONG time that I made a card without any other intention for it other than to have fun with it! SO... I used a sketch from a new fun Sketch Challenge blog from one of my OG Burton Dolls DT member Jen Schults! She is amazingly talented and I will be participating quite often!

Chaos meets Christian... well close...

Hello, hello, hello! Welcome to our Teen Scene blog hop/Release day/ introducing Chaos and Christian!

Now I promise you all a story behind these two as well so here we go... before making the big move up the mountain to our current home in Big Bear, Christian my son had a pet Chameleon... he was a cute little thing... slept on Christian's lap or around his neck. They were the best of pals! One night, you know it's going to be good when you start off with one night... I got up in the middle of the night for a glass of water. Christian had forgotten to put Chaos in his aquarium so the little thing was just minding his own business roaming around my kitchen... well half asleep I noticed something move across the floor and I screamed at the top of my lungs! The poor little guy was so startled it didn't know what the heck to do. It ran to the left, then to the right, then in circles (while I continued to scream)! Finally the poor thing slammed into the cupboard and fell back flat on his back. I felt so bad for the little animal I tried to pick him up after I gained my courage and realized it was the pet! It jumped up again and there I went screaming again! Christian had to run in and rescue both of us as we were both in pieces! Chaos survived and Christian never forgot to put him back in his aquarium again!

So here they are! Now don't forget to hop on over to Barb's blog next... I am sure she will have some beauty beauty with these two cuties as all my gals are amazingly talented!

I can assure you it's more like Batty Betty... you will have to go to the Simply Betty Stamps blog to find out how that came about! Funny story I promise!

But ya can't leave until you take a peek at my Batty & Betty card... it was the first card I made with this batch of fun kids... I had colored them all in, walked away for a minute to get some water and came back to my 2 year old having added his own coloring on freshly colored images... Betty here got it the worst, so I had to cut her legs off! Gasp! No for real I promise just the stamped image! But it inspired me to do the circle thing with her... no bad eh? As for the 2 year old... he was chased down the hall with about seven Copics in hands and tickled till he gave them up!

I loved the way this one turned out.. I used the Spellbinders stars not the cricut for those stars you see all around Batty & Betty. The sentiment is from BoBunny's Block Party Line as well as the circle around them. Hope you enjoy!

Finally! Here is Wednesday the last of our new Sweet Gothic Kids Easter Rubber and Digi line! Whoohoo! Did you enjoy all the previews? Which was your fave? Wednesday is another one of my faves... I think she invented sassy! Just look at all that 'tude!

Back again in my element with darker colors... pastels are not my friends! LOL I made the title with my Spellbinders, Tattered Angels Mists and the cool Sizzix Flower die! I love that die! I stickled the edges of the flowers and placed some rhinestones on the inside of the flowers. Well I hope you have enjoyed my cards and the new Sweet Gothic Kids Easter line! He does look great doesn't he? I finally got back into my groove and threw in some black, skulls and splats! Who says Easter has to be so Pastel-ish! Beside the green is pretty pastel! It's about as pastel as I want to get really! Ha!

The part I like about this the most is that I used only one Patterned paper, the rest was done with stamps! The splats are from Tim Holtz of course, and the little skullies are...oh my I have no idea! Sorry I got that stamp ages ago and have no clue where! The clay Neon Green Skullies are from Creepy Glow Bug... she has one heck of an Etsy shop check it out here.

That is one cute bunny! Look at the awesome detail to her flowers... there are bats! Is that not cute or what!? This is sooo out of my element, pastel colors!? Oh my...sooo out of my element. Not to worry though tomorrow's preview will have Black in it! Whoot woot! I messed her up a little, so sorry, the little one was tugging at me so I got ink on my fingers then touched the colored image and didn't even realize it until after the whole card was complete. Boo!

Hello and thanks for stopping by again today to see what I have prepared for you using Sassy Easter Judy!

She is so sassy with her hand on her hip and winking out at you!

I love how her hair turned out... these kids are so fun to color using out of the ordinary hair colors! She herself looks like a jelly bean ready to hop into your Easter basket!

This one is a little plain, but the colors do pop out. I love using Versamark on my projects. The Labels has Hero Arts flowers stamped on using the Versamark pad. It just gives you a really nice background paper, or a boarder, and it's awesome when wet embossing! Hope you enjoy this card, again Easter not being my favorite, I struggle.

Welcome to our Egg-citng sneak peak! The snow is starting to melt, and spring is in the air... so natuarally time to Spring on the Sweet Gothic Easter Kids!

Today we have Alex! Alex, as you can see loves chocolate, especially larger than he can handle Chocolate eggs. See how he's trying to hide it behind his little furry hiney! I used this awesome new Three Bugs In a Rug line April Showers. Isn't it the cutest! You can find this paper at Simply Betty Stamps now! The rubber and digi Alex along with the rest of the kids will be available Friday March 25th!

I hope you have enjoyed my Alex card, Easter is not my Holiday... I don't like it at all actually so I really struggled with these, but the Stamps are too cute! I enjoyed coloring them, just tanked when it came down to creating the cards for them!

Of course all the little extras are included like 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners. Snacks galore, and again no cleaning up after... just head back to your crafting! Classes will be offered (additional fees will apply) and fun techniques will be demonstrated.

The Surprise...

WOW! Rio is 13 today! Before I get to the good stuff, I want to thank all of you for supporting Rio in this selfless act for her Birthday. It is a special girl that is willing to give instead of receive on this milestone Birthday... as I said before... teens can be selfish, but this brand new teen had only other kids in mind when it came to her special birthday gift. I was so touched by the response and thank you all so very much for the cards to wish my special young lady a Happy Birthday!

I am sitting here with Rio as she reads this for the first time.... I have taken her to the mail box clusters where we get our mail and this was what she found...

Oh My!!

I didn't get a snap shot of what happened when she climbed back in the car but she tripped and the letters went everywhere! LOL I was laughing too hard!

I then brought her back home for her cake and Ice Cream, while Chris got our plates ready I uploaded the pictures and have sat her down in front of the computer so she can see and read this post....Woody wants to help her open the cards!

As you all know Rio asked that her Birthday money be donated to the children at St. Jude's Hospital. She is always so willing to help and wants to do so much for others that I had to give her what she wanted... Rio this special image was made for you to celebrate your very important Birthday turning 13 (TEEN)! My gosh how you have grown baby girl. I love you so much, more than you will ever know. I am so proud of you and so happy to be your mother, you are the kindest, most generous little girl I know. Your beautiful smile always makes me smile, and your laughter always brightens my day. This special image was also set to raise money for your cause... the kids at St. Jude's Hospital. I have asked all that purchased this image to send you a birthday card and they were all so touched and happy to do so... as you saw the explosion in our mail box today! This image in your honor has raised $315 dollars! That along with your birthday money is going to the kids at St. Judes! I have put in a request for an appointment to spend the day exactly as you wanted... donating money to help the kids, and you will be reading for a couple hours at the hospital! This beautiful gesture of yours is going to bring lots of joy to little boys and girls at the hospital. I am hoping that it's going to give them the kind of bright day you always give me. To have a young lady like yourself think of them, and without any other reason other than you simply want to give them a special day. I am sure the parents as well as the children and staff will appreciate such a selfless act. I am so proud of Rio. I know you are going to do big things in life my sweet baby girl!

Hello everyone! I am hoping to reach many of you on this special post...

My daughter Rio is turning 13! OMG another teen in the house! Two teens+one toddler= disasterous fun... on most days! LOL

Okay okay, so let me tell you about the Special Image for my Special girl Rio with a Special Birthday request we got from her this year...

Every year I ask the kids what they want for their birthday. Money, a trip, a party, or an overnight stay at Disneyland.... Rio came to me and said, "Mom, is it really really my choice what I get for my birthday?" I told her of course! So she says, "Ok, this year mom, I want money, but can I do anything at all with it? I mean anything I want mom?" Again, I said of course. "Okay, I want my birthday money to be donated to the children of St. Jude's hospital so they can have a special day, or whatever the money is needed for. I don't want to have money to just blow when I can help other kids that can't get out of bed, or go outside. That's what I want for my birthday!"

Of course I was already choking on my tears before she finished her sentence! What a marvelous request, selfless and special! I had a special image made for her 13th birthday, and I have not told her about it, or shown it to her. I am asking for a very special request myself in honor of my daughter's selflessness.

The image is now available for $3.00, I am asking you all to purchase this special stamp and help me bring my daughter special birthday wishes by mailing off a card you make with the image to her... but wait that's not all... the $3.00 made from every purchase will be donated to St. Jude's, again in Rio's honor. I am planning on taking her after her birthday to the hospital with the money we raise from this image and her birthday money as requested and giving it all to the hospital!

Her birthday is Feb. 8th, if you all could find it in your hearts to give my little girl that special card my mailing it to her I know it would make her day so special... she is always so grateful of the little things and my hope is to fill that mailbox of ours to the brim with Birthday cards! I plan to gather all cards mailed to her from now until the 8th, and secretly putting them all in the mailbox along with her very favorite chocolates: York Peppermint Patties and Peanut Butter cups! That evening after her birthday dinner I am going to ask her to walk down the street with me to the cluster boxes and have her open the mailbox (I am going to pretend I have not checked the mail all day of course) then BAM! they all pop out at her! Whoohooo! She will be thrilled once she realizes what exactly all those letters are.

Well hello everyone! How is your Saturday so far? Crafting it away, shoveling snow, or just hanging around? What ever it is you are doing I hope you are enjoying yourselves!

Today I have a special release... I took the Jude and his Shenanigan Crew and changed it up a bit... my style my drawings and my ideas. I know they are not your normal Creepy/Wild Betty style like the Emos and the Punky Teens or the Gothic Kids, but they were drawn as I imagine my little Judes' world to be at the moment... I tell ya I am so in love with that little monster that I am constantly drawing a little boy and his toys so you will be seeing many more themes to this line. Well enough of my blah blah blah... let's get onto the cards! Today I am featuring Jude and Ben... I must say not my best work and I am sorry, but I have had the worst cold ever! Coughing all night long... why don't I cough during the day when I don't need to sleep! Sheesh! So I was very sluggish on these, loved coloring up my little man though!

I have copied and pasted this from Debbie's blog... As a mother of three myself, I can't tell you how sad this makes me, to know that a mother, or anyone really is going through pain and hardships. As Debbie says, crafters are some of the most amazing people out there. We are all caring, unselfish and will pull together for each other no matter what. Even when you don't know each other. It's a nice tight circle of friendships that can reach across the world. Please spread the word and help Katie and her family.

Katie Emmerson Renz is married to Kevin and they have 3 beautiful boys - the twins Nate & Will aged 5 and Hunter aged 10. The family had some news just before Christmas that has rocked their world as they know it.

Katie has been diagnosed with stage 4 Stomach Cancer and is currently undergoing her only option which is Chemotherapy.
